Fake Money & UKGC Ban on Twitch Streamers

It’s unbelievable how these casinos can use streamers to circumvent standard marketing rules and regs. Streamers like Chipmonkz won’t last long. They will fall foul eventually and rightly so. It’s quite obvious with this individual it’s all about making money with no duty of care to his audience.

As far as I can see the Channel is named after Alvin and the Chipmonks. Alvin and the Chipmunks is a 2007 American live action/computer animated musical comedy film for Children.

He also has Playstation Games on there that  Children may Play.

He now has a Pokemon Channel that Children may follow.

He now has a Scratch Ticket channel, you have to be over 15 years of age in the UK for Scratch cards (16 as far as I can see)

Any innocent child coming across any of these apparently genuine things may be linked to the gambling channel.

I agree with part of this statement. All those years ago, high rolling was £2 a spin!

Then it went all wrong with outdoing each other with silly giveaways (it used to be free spins, remember those days), increasing the stakes where if you stream at £1 a spin you don't get any viewers, and now you don't know who is and who isn't playing with real money.

Totally agree with this statement. I still regard £2 as a highroller spin for myself. I am not impressed by these ridiculous massive stakes now being used regularly by streamers as I cannot relate to them at all. I also think it's setting a bad example to viewers. And as an ordinary slots player a £2 per spin maximum will make no difference to me but I do understand that it may cost the streamers viewers and affiliate revenue. I think the max spin amount could be upped a bit to £5 or £10 if you can afford it.

Have just watched back through yesterday's stream that Chipmonkz did. He really looks fed up with gambling now, perhaps reality has set in that he cannot survive the new changes?

Aside from the horrendous RTP at Awesome Spins, their game choice is really poor. Promoting such bad casinos is not doing him any favours and playing the same boring games is making the streams difficult to watch.

And what the hell is MrQ, its a bingo site with a couple of slots with equally bad RTP.

I know that Craig Slots and Jimbo Casino are not part of CasinoGrounds and while I think they are both decent lads they are constantly promoting the White Hat Gaming sites which ban people and refuse payouts at the drop of a hat(no pun intended.) I actually lost white hat gaming promotion privileges after signing up to one of their sites through a JimboCasino affiliate link too. I think streamers will have to be careful regarding which sites they promote in the future,in particular the ones here in the UK.

i agree, when you see all these big stakes, its not the normal world, normal people just play upto £2 a spin.. and i thought it was great that the UK banned bonus buys... i mean how often do people get there money back from them... look at money train2 one of the worse bonus buys ever. and when you see streamers buy them, really is a crap game, and i am glad UK cant buy them...

I also would love to know how kim bonuses work.

How can you deposit 2k and get 2k extra and after some rounds on live casino you're able to withdraw all the money?

I think there's not even 1 casino that would give you 2k for less than 100x wager.

Something's wrong is not right.

On average, you can expect to lose roughly the same amount of money on bonus buys as you would from playing x number of equivalent spins. Some bonus buys, including Money Train 2, actually have higher RTP than playing spins. You pay for the potential and the guaranteed bonus - I am fine with only getting 50x back from a MT2 bonus, but some people don't like losing half their bet in a couple minutes.

The dangerous part about bonus buys is that you risk money at a much faster rate than playing slots normally, and they can evaporate your bankroll fast. But based strictly on equivalent "coin in", some bonus buys are slightly better for the player, some are the same, and some are slightly worse. I'm mostly a table games/live casino player, and most slot base game spins bore me, so bonus buys are a way for me to go straight for the good stuff. Depending on the game, it's often less expensive for me to do a bonus buy in terms of expected value over the same period of time compared to live casino.

I do agree that the stakes most streamers play at are way higher than most punters, perhaps unrelateably so for some, but streaming is an entertainment business, and hitting a €5k bonus is a lot more exciting than hitting a €1k bonus. Of course, there are limits, and the guys who consistently play €20+ stakes with fake money are arguably enriching themselves by promoting irresponsible gambling.

I get 1 deposit bonus per day 100% up to €2k, if I want to play more I have to go cash which if you watched the stream you'll know I will and sometimes it doesn't take long before the first bullet is gone. Interesting fact that few people seem to know is that wagering doesn't really matter if you play high enough volatility / stake. If I was to get 2 bonuses per day instead of one but with 99x wager that would have been a higher expected value than what it is now.

Edit: Can add here (which you know if you're a frequent viewer) that I'm one of the few streamers who has been losing money every year from gambling, I simply go with cash deposits too often even if the real value for streamers is to use bonuses as often as you can. On top of that many streamers have 200% bonuses all the time (basically free cash no matter wagering) and if they win they have a deal to play most of it back (hence you'll see some "crazy" bonus hunts).

Hi kim.

Before I didn't watch your streams much but now I do more often because it is good content indeed. But I always were curious about these bonuses, because nothing better than watching real money action rather than casino money.

Like yesterday or usually you start with 500€ deposit which you play with 1k. After u lose this balance u always go with 2k normally and get 2k plus. That is already 2 bonuses.

So let's imagine you went for a blackjack table, if you get the balance to 10,000 euro on 5 bets are you able to keep all that money for you? (using 2nd deposit of 2k+2k 100%)

I appreciate your kind words mate.

The 100% up to €500 bonus is usually around 35x wagering, I thought you meant the one on LeoVegas which is 1 per day.

Yes I can keep 100% of what I win from it but if I'd cash out after 5 hands right away they would stop giving me bonuses and the stream would be very short :P

Ahhh ok, now I get it.

Well now that I know it will give more satisfation watching your gambling plays.

Still, and something that I mention via PM to you: the casinos you have on your side and that usually do giveaways, noone of them is possible to register with country being Portugal.

There are a bunch of casinos out there which you can play in Portugal, but noone of what u use / do giveaways.

Maybe on the future try to find a partnership for that end 😜

Cheers mate and keep the good work.

Thanks mate, don't hesitate to reach out if you think about something :)

Can you add which ones you have in Portugal in the PM and I'll reply Sunday / Monday latest?

Happy weekend!
