Reef run by Yggdrasil new or old?

So both Casumo and Leovegas showed Reef Run as a new slot to their collection and initially I thought this was a sort of followup on Golden Fishtank. Turns out that there are videos of this slot from 2-3 years back. If this is the case then it might not be worth playing but does anyone know why this was released just now or is it a rerelease?

Yeah, it seems it's kind of a remake of the old game (which If I remember correctly was a straight up clone of NetEnt's Evolution).

The "run" element of the new game in the freespins isn't the same as in the old game, right?
