It's their job to great with a friendly demeanour and handle small issues based on their understanding of the business and the terms and conditions. They will have scripts to follow depending on the situation, they do their best to the extent to which they have been trained, but don't count on them knowing anything about the business for which they are the front of house. They might not even know anything about football ad may have never placed a bet in their life. They can only, in situations like this, refer to what they have been told, point you towards the T&C and, if the customer seems agitated or pressing, escalate it their issue to someone higher up and more informed who can deal with it. The amount of times I contact Support for information about promotions, only to be asked to send in a link to the promotion or a screenshot of the page, drives me mad sometimes. Link to comment
