Creating new slots in collaboration with providers

Hey,

This is just a quick vent.

I just sat and spun Beast Mode for 2 and a half hours without a bonus. Now the RTP wasn't too bad, I was only 400x down in that time (UK player so 2.5s spins). Best win was 168x from the "It's On" minibonus. But the stress it caused from not getting a bonus made me so angry Im here venting.

Next time you collaborate with a provider to make a slot, would you please put a "pity bonus" bar like Lil'Devil has to make up for the volatility of getting the bonus. I know I just had some bad luck there but 2 and a half hours (and what I approximate at over 2000 spins, I can't be sure but you can do over 4000 in that time without count ups and minibonus so I halved it) is really the opposite of fun.

I know it's a bonus buy slot, so you probably don't have a solid idea of how long it takes to bonus this slot on a bad day, but have some pity on us UK players who can't buy them. We can't even autoplay, it's a sad state of affairs.

Anyway, needed to vent, sorry.

I agree with the sad state of affairs that is UK online gambling. I remember putting over 1000 spins through the original Money Train trying to get a bonus, I was triggered.

I don't mind a volatile slot but I think all providers should design games so that you aren't reliant on the bonus for a big win. I tend to play games that give a chance of a big win from the base game as well as the bonus. Not played Beast Mode yet.

Probably best to play by the 100 spin rule on these types of games. It's either gonna happen or not. Stick to 100 spins max, you've given it a fair shot. Go to a different game that has more chance of bonusing and if your balances increase, go back to the high volatility slot and try 100 again.

I couldn't agree more with this post, this slot has been developed without a single thought to players that have to, or even like to, play the base game in order to attain a bonus.  After playing it for a few hours to see what it was like it has been swiftly moved to the ban list.  I'm amazed that members of Casino Grounds would completely disregard a large section of their membership when helping put this slot together.  There is zero fun in the base game whatsoever, the Beast Mode feature misses most of the time and even when it hits it pays very little.  In my hours of play I only had one bonus that triggered with 4 scatters and paid 15x, not worth the grind at all.

If members of this site that have input into slot development ever get the chance again can you please give at least some thought to base game players, inject a little bit of fun somewhere.  I guess it's ok if you're a streamer and can just sit buying bonuses but there are other kinds of players out there.

I just ran another 200x through the game without a bonus. I'm not sure if it's just my luck on LeoVegas but I'm seriously thinking this slot hates me.

600x down without a bonus is sickening to me. I get such a small amount to play with each month and I've wasted it because I actually like the idea of this slot, but without a bonus buy available I feel like I am at a huge disadvantage for the RTP. I know the bonus buy RTP is on a different table, but that begs the question. Why make the base game so horrible to bonus? They could surely have it bonus more often and pay less on average. At least you would feel like you are getting some fun play out of it.

I said this months ago and was hounded to fudge by supporters of certain streamers  ,  the volatility of the slots is only gonna get worse as the providers know that these streamers will play them endlessly and most have unlimited funds to fill them up to the brim , the local player , small player if you like has been forgotten about and in a way i blame the streamers a little for not giving their supporters some support and to ensure that it's not only streamers out there and that the small player should be able to play these slots without losing their shirt and virtually getting no gameplay for their hard earned cash.

Providers and Streamers go hand in hand and therein lies the problem in my opinion.

When the FUN stops  , stop !     at the moment it's no fun for many many people as the fun part has been removed due to the volatility of these slot's.

The market trend for the past few years has moved totally towards high volatile games with huge win potential.
This is what the majority of players want.

To be able to achieve this, games have to operate this way.

I understand it can be frustrating spinning for hundreds of spins without a bonus', and even then the chances are slim that it will be a good one.

However, if this is not your play style, there are so many providers and games out there that will cater to your specific play style.
If you want to maximise your play time and get loads of bonus', go play Wild North! If you want the chance to win life changing money from a low stake but will likely lose your balance quickly, go play Tombstone RIP! There are many slots in-between both extremes to cater to everyone's play style.

I personally love games like Beast Mode that offer me the ability to win huge from a small stake, but I'm certainly aware of the volatility and I take that into account during my sessions. As intelligent gamblers, we should be making smart decisions about what games we play in order to get what we want from our play time, it's ultimately up to us to decide where we spend our money.

As for the U.K regulations, the only people to be angry at is the UK Gambling Commission. I know, having no bonus' buy and auto-play option is a big bag of dicks that some idiots who have never gambled in their lives have just decided contributes to problem gambling without any evidence. The casinos and slot providers would love to offer these to the U.K market, but, what can you do.. They have to cater to the wider European and worldwide markets.

Exactly, would actually be interesting to get some input from CG members on this topic. Which slots do you recommend?

Personally, I like a compromise between playability - not ripping the balance too quickly and a decent chance to hit a feature - and of course the possibility to win something decent along the way. That's why I play certain slots ...eh... frequently. People who have taken a peek at my posts in here might have an idea which slots that might be 😉

I like to mix my sessions up with some super high-volatile games and chuck in some mid-volatility too.

My number one played provider is definitely Push Gaming. I love the game design and the insane win potential. After that, it's probably No Limit City and Relax Gaming. Every now and again I'll throw in some Big Time Gaming, Yggdrasil, Gamomat, Thunderkick and Hacksaw.

In terms of the ones I stay away from, I've got no love for anything Pragmatic or Play n'Go. They don't do it for me at all. Very rarely I'll have a bash on DoA2 or Secret of the Stones Max from NetEnt, but apart from that I tend to avoid them.

Well if you're buying a ticket for a lottery you are going after the million dollar grand price that's the same with these big providers. High risk high reward. Don't expect these companies to make a pity slot with a 2000x max win but that's just not there forte. And by doing so they can set up a marketing campaign to promote the slot. The slots with low max wins doesn't have this kind of appeal so a marketing campaign would be a waste of money. So if they were going to collaborate and made a game again you can expect it to fall back to a page 6-7 of the total listed slots very quickly because its just not that interesting.

Just so you know I totally agree with the complains that these beast mode and iron bank games are way too hard to bonus and taking the fun out of it.
