Some Casinos hate me !

Right, does anyone else out there have a similar experience to me......

For some unknown reason I can win on some casinos and not others, even when i'm playing the exact same games..

For me 21.co.uk has been the saving grace with somewhere in the region of £70k profit in the last 3 months.... Risk just beats the crap out of me, Casumo is about a break even to date but i have been playing there a lot longer than the rest.

I'm still arguing with myself if it's it's the Casinos I play on or the amount of beer I drink at the stupidly high value bets that make the difference, but I'd be interested if anyone else has had similar experiences.

For the record, I've also decided that netent HATES ME !

Well, what you have to understand is that gambling, and especially gambling with online slots is purely based on luck.

What feels like a hot and cold machine is basically your perception of reality trying to understand the invisible force that is luck.

The only thing you can change when playing slots is the bet size and what machine you're going to play.

Different casinos "could" have different RTP (Return to Player) but its very unlikely due to the fact that the manufacturer of the slot (in this example NetEnt) would have to seek license for the slot which seem like it is a hard task to do.

Let's take Secret of the Stones for an example (Since you love NetEnt )

SoTS on 21casino.com has according to the help (?) file a 96,7% RTP

SoTS on Rizk.com has according to the help file (?) a 96,7% RTP.

RTP is calculated over billions of spins. In theory, if you bet 100€ over 100,000,000,000 spins, you'll get minimum 96,7€ back. Within those spins are the minimum wins (0,25€) and maximum wins (25,000€)

Now, lets add the factor of your play style into the mix.

If you start with 1000€ and go to play SoTS with coin value 0,1 (=2,5€) you can spin that slot 400 times. In theory, that's not close to the RTP, however,

If you start with 1000€ and go to play SoTS with coin value 0,01 (=0,25€) you can spin that slot 4000 times. Still not close to get those 96,7€ back from a 100-bill tho.

So, on Netent slots you have for the most time the ability to chose between the following

Coin value - The value of each coin per line

Coin level - A multiplier of coins on each line (1-10 on SoTS)

Lines - How many lines you want to play. Maximum lines = Maximum potential of wins (altho, we've seen people playing 5-line SoTS and winning big) In SoTS a maximum of 25 lines can be played.

So what you can do to modify your luck is:

Coin value - How much are you willing to gamble for. Higher value = Bigger wins if luck is on your side. Lower value = Lower wins if luck is on your side.

Example: You play with 0,1 value. You bet 2,5€ and hit a full line of "reds" on SoTS which equals to 1250 coins (125€)

Example 2: You play with 0,2 value. You bet 5€ and hit a full line of "reds" on SoTS which equals to 1250 coins - But this time the value of each coin is doubled and you win 250€, even tho it says 1250 coins.

Coin level - How many coins per line you want to bet. You feel lucky after hitting that full line of reds and decide to raise to 5€ with raising the coin level. Now you have doubled the value on each line by adding one more coin on each line (a multiplier of two is in affect). You hit the "reds" again and win 2500 coins (250€) = 1250 x 2(coins) = 2500

Lines - You decide you want to try 5-line theory of SoTS and you hit a full "red" on line 6. Too bad for you, you didn't get the win because you did not place any coins on that line. People adjust the lines because all they want (in reality) is to play higher coin value and higher coin level.

Now, this sounds all like a dream. But this is only because luck is in your favour at the moment. You start to think this machine is "HOT!!" and you decide to raise your bets and hit that epic bonus with wild reels and multiplier x3. But the bonus never comes and no more full lines of reds are anywhere to be seen. Only 2-scatter teases and 3-in-a-row 10s with the occasional owl to give you some hope that this machine will give you the big bucks.

After a while your balance is low and you call #rigged

In conclusion, there's no difference between casinos (that are well-known and accepted) because the slots RTPs "should" be the same. Higher RTP = More wins, maybe not big wins, but wins nontheless to keep you playing. Playing a machine with lower then 90RTP would not keep any player playing that machine for long.

Your affect on big wins is only based on how much you want to gamble and for how long. If you low-roll for a while then decide to raise and then hit a big win, that has nothing to do with Rizk or 21casino or the provider of the slotmachine. Everytime you press the spin-button, the slot has already decided if you're going to win, win big or not win at all. No matter the bet-size. The reason we see the symbols rolling or falling down is due to the fact that it would not be any excitement left if we just saw the result instantly.

Slots don't have any memory. If you log on to Rizk and play your favourite slot because it has paid you before, it's not like it sees your IP-number or MAC-address and think "OMG ITS HIM/HER LETS OPEN UP THE BANK". It's just in your head.

The epic comebacks of Kim on Book of Dead is just luck. LeoVegas has not rigged the machine in favour of Kim, the Book of Dead does not remember Kim. The BlackJack dealers doesn't do anything with the cards when Kim bets 500 side bet and wins 13 000SEK on a perfect pair. Book of Dead doesn't care if Nickslots plays 1€ bets or 10€ bets and wins 10,000€. Jackpot 6000 doesn't care if Ladygagah plays 10 or 100SEK bets and wins big or small.

Playing slots is all about timing and being lucky. The only "skill" you have is the ability to chose your bet size. And you should always bet according to your balance (if you want to play longer). If you start with 100€ bets with your 1000€ bankroll you won't play for long (unless... you get lucky of course).

As they say in the Mega Jackpot-slots "The next spin could change your life".

Please note: I have no clue if any of my theories are true, so if someone with better insight could correct me on statements I'm out in the blue on, please do.

Intresting, im kind of intriged of how streamers that are affiliated with casinos manage to be so lucky in general when it comes to the slots, and i also find it kind of amusing when people talk theory as if they speak the truth. Regardless, i agree with the topic owner, i find myself way luckier on some casinos then on others.

And yes My "netent" is thunderkick" they are horrible , probably spent 100k euro on turnover on them, highest win 240euro..

Nosound, how can changing the coin value modify the rtp?

Changing the coin value won't modify the rtp, not in online slots (with some exclusions for example Barcest's Big Bet games where placing a single big bet of €20 or €30 on them will make 99% RTP). However this is true in landbased casinos, where you play higher denomination, the higher the RTP .. at least on some slots.
