What is a bonus hunt?

I'm new to all this online slots streaming and see a couple of streamers talk about bonus hunts and they give a percentage away to people.

Can someone explain to me how this works please?

Bonus hunt means that streamer plays games until they hit the bonus game. Then they immediately close the game without playing the bonus and then going to another game until he hits the bonus game again. Rinse and repeat until there is enough games. Then he plays every bonus in a row. That's called a bonus hunt. 

 

That percentage thing is usually that the streamer gives some percentage of won money to spectators.

Sometimes they have a ticker with different amounts from different slots scrolling across the screen what does that mean?

That's usually which games they have won the bonuses on and at which stakes they have got the bonuses at.
