IguanaBob Posted 21 January Share Posted 21 January (edited) I'm wondering what you guys think are the best pros and cons for Live BJ at Playtech and Evo? (You can include other providers but I'm not really familiar with them myself) Game rules: Evo has no double after split, and peeks on Aces only. Playtech has some US (with hole card) and some EU (no hole card) style tables. In US style tables they peek on dealer ace, on both styles they refund doubles on dealer BJ when the first card was worth 10, they allow double after split. Sidebets are pretty much the same. Advantage Playtech Availabilty: Evo always seems to have a lot of £5 tables available. Often unless you want to play Unlimited it's hard to get on a £5/£10 table on Playtech, and certainly not an uncrowded one. Advantage Evo Disconnection If you disconnect on Playtech you're locked out of the table for the entire round, but then you ccan play the round from where you left off in RNG. If you disconnect on Evo, you may be able to get back in time, but if not the game will be played out wiyth a substandard strategy. Advantage Playtech Game Speed: Even on the non "Speed" tables Evo keep it brisk, by comparison Playtech is a lot slower Advantage Evo Dealers YMMV here but I find the rank and file Playech dealers to be much more personable and interesting, although the "star" dealers on Evo are generally better than the "stars" on Playtech. Tied. What do you guys think, any significant factors that lean you towards Playtech or Evo? Edited 21 January by IguanaBob Quote Link to comment
IguanaBob Posted 21 January Author Share Posted 21 January Variants Playtech have Quantum BJ, which isn't as good since it went additive instead of multiplicative and Sette E Mezzo, an Italian BJ style game based on 7.5. Evo have Lightning BJ, Free Bet BJ and Power BJ. Power BJ is rubbish, FreeBet BJ isn't as good as Playtech's RNG game Free Chip BJ but Lighning BJ is hella fun Advantage Evo Quote Link to comment
dagreenblazer Posted 21 January Share Posted 21 January For me, that Playtech stupidity of "you can rejoin table when current game round ends" is just totally annoying BS! Every single time I'm like WHY???? Why do i have to wait for the next game round??? It literally makes no sense!! And you can guarantee by the time you've joined back you've just missed something good as well lol! Overall, Playtech do a decent enough job of running their tables, though Evo definitely add that touch more polish & professionalism to their games i feel. Quote Link to comment

Unless you're playing BJ or 3 card poker where you have to make a significant decision, you can join as soon as the round ends. On roulette/baccarat/wheel games if you get back in fast enough you miss nothing. Since Playtech offet 20 seconds betting time that's plenty of time to rejoin and place a bet. Quote Link to comment
mra4nostop Posted 13 February Share Posted 13 February (edited) Both have their perks! Playtech’s interface is user-friendly, great for beginners, while Evo offers diverse tables and slick streaming. As for cons, Playtech can sometimes lag in peak hours, and Evo might be overwhelming with its numerous options. Explore each, see what fits your style best!
