When the teasing becomes a taunt

Recommended Posts

you're playing a slot, you're losing but you stay and try and get into the bonus, but all you get is teases. Part of the game, yes, and a bonus is never guaranteed, but at some point it starts to get ridiculous, i think i could have had up to 20 teases playing 'raven's reveal'

I don't mind losing (lost my bankroll for the second time this week) but something rubs me the wrong way about slots that bait like that.

I know what you mean dude, and i don't enjoy slots that overly use teases as part of regular gameplay  - Big Bass is the classic example of where 2 Scatters dropping in & a 3rd just missing is considered to be an actual gameplay element - they just play it as an animation only. It might be confirmation bias, though it often seems easy to spot from reel spin speed & lag whether or not it's triggered a genuine shot at 3rd scatter landing or if it's just playing another fluff animation.

Plus, my other issue with games that spam teases is that 9 times out of 10 it's just so that the wasted scatters can then act as a blockers for other paylines - they try & make it look like you're always close to hitting the infrequent big bonus when in actual fact it's just denying you the frequent small wins.

My only exception to this is Book of Dead type games where the Scatter is a Wild too - BoD does love spamming teases but still gives alot of good base wins on only 2 scatters landing because they act as Wild for the other paylines.

Yep  , totally agree with the above  , they are designed to drive you nuts !!     Bonanza is a prime example of teasing and giving hee haw  , even when you get several cascades you barely get your stake back , slots becoming more and more volatile folks and not for the small player with limited cash , my advice is to giive the slots the elbow and try a little sportsbetting  , you do tend to get a decent run for your money on sports.      🙂

hey Kathleen, you should make a post with this question as 'new to casino games' is a fantastic topic and deserves its own thread. What would I recommend, I like the game shows, (Adventures in Wonderland, Monopoly, Crazy Time) but lightning roulette and lightning baccarat aren't bad either. As a beginner I hope you get that beginners luck!

I recently did some research to find a casino in Australia where I could make minimum deposits and found a list of casinos at https://lowdepositcasino.org/au/ . The real problem is that I don't really know which one to choose between them, as most of them have very good reviews. I would like to know if you have ever had to play at one of these casinos or which one would you choose if you had to? As this is my first experience, I would like the procedures for playing to be really simple.
