Miniminime Posted 11 January, 2022 Share Posted 11 January, 2022 So on the 20th December 2021, I did a withdrawal from my 888casino account and all documentations were provided, accepted and I was asked to wait 72hrs for their transdept to process the payout. Since payout to Norway are restricted on some gambling sites, I made the withdrawal the same way I deposited the money - using MuchBetter. A few days after I sent the documentations, I was contacted by their Transdept, informing me that the withdrawal method wasn’t available but they could offer to do a bank wire if I could send them my Norwegian bank info. Said and done - documentation was accepted and verified and the support team also confirmed the funds would be in my bank account within 3-5 business days. A few days after support confirmed everything, I was again contacted by the Transdept, informing me about payout to Norwegian bank accounts are not available and suggested me to do a new deposit with MuchBetter (I got a new MuchBetter card so according to Transdept I needed to use the new card for and make a deposit). Mind you, I had MuchBetter support contact the transdept directly to confirm my account details so an extra deposit shouldn’t have been mandatory. However I did as I was asked and made another deposit. A few days later, on Jan 5th 2022, I was again contacted by the transdept informing me about some issues regarding payouts not applicable to my card/account and that this has been escalated internally to their tech team.z. I have yet to hear from them, as it might take up to 7 business days for their dept to reply. And remember that my case was escalated to their tech team! 😂 I contacted their support team again today (11th Jan) and the standard answer they give is: please wait patiently. By now it seems like 888casino is a fraud and they keep giving me different reasons to not do the payout. Based on the communication with the support, transdept and processing time, I’d like to warn people to stay away from 888casino. If you want to deposit and play and don’t expect to do any form of cash out - this is the place for you. However if you do want to make a withdrawal, there are many other sites with shorter processing time and less mess. So does anyone have any suggestion on what to do next? I was asked to contact manager@888casino.com, which I did on the 4th Jan, but I haven’t heard from them. And the support team is asking me to contact them again in case the issue doesn’t get solved by tomorrow, however they weren’t sure how they could help. A supervisor might give me a call but according to the Live agent, there’s nothing much a supervisor could do. Quote Link to comment
teckiwi Posted 11 January, 2022 Share Posted 11 January, 2022 They are choosing to operate in a market where the gov makes it hard for banks to allow those payment providers, you as a player are taking that risk choosing to gamble online on platforms outside norway. 1 Quote Link to comment
Miniminime Posted 11 January, 2022 Author Share Posted 11 January, 2022 That’s why I made the withdrawal to my MuchBetter account which doesn’t have any association to my Norwegian bank acc. And this has worked perfectly for other online casinos… so something fishy with 888. I just searched the history here and saw a post from 2019, with a member with the same issue, however he tried to withdraw to his bank account. Quote Link to comment

I don't think it's the casino itself who are fishy, but you will meet bumps on the way for Norwegian withdrawals and even deposits. The bigger operators juggle between providers on the regular to allow transactions from Norwegian payment methods. Wallets like Jeton and MuchBetter are capitalising on the whole situation and are the real winners in all of this mess. Quote Link to comment
Samirbakaou Posted 12 January, 2022 Share Posted 12 January, 2022 888 is not fraud. Your situation sucks but gambling in Norway sucks for both the player and the casino. Withdrawals are a mess, but a big company as 888 will solve it somehow. Quote Link to comment
