Today I quit

Hello. I’m Ashton also known as AshtonGTV on the streams. 
I had a toxic abusive experience in 2019 which lead to me becoming depressed. I started gambling very quickly after and had a big win (400 from a 20 deposit on blackjack). 
shortly after this I became addicted and quickly lost the 400 and better more and more each time trying to win back the money I had lost each time the stakes where higher to get the same rush feeling. Before I knew it I was losing money far quicker than I got it. Now 3 years on I’m down just over £3250-5000 and would do absolutely anything to get that money back. 

I knew something was wrong with me as every time I lost I got more depressed and angry. I would make time outs but I would just make a new account at different casinos to get around it. I even found a way to bypass my banks gamble block (the things you do😕)

last week I self excluded myself from every casino site apart from one, just so I had more control however this morning I deposited some money and lost it all within minutes. I then self excluded on that site. Therefore I’ve technically self excluded from every uk brand making it impossible for me to join another casino for the time limit I set.

I regret doing the self exclusion since I can no longer gamble. But I know it’s for the best as I wish I never joined any site to do with gambling or stopped after my first day but being emotionally reckless at the time and after going through being abused and robbed I thought it was a smart way to earn money, but I was wrong. 
 

today is the last day I will ever visit any gambling site for the better. Sadly I will also have to stop watching the streams so it doesn’t leave a influence.

Yes everyone is different... for me watching streamers makes we want to play more and more... I am self excluded on most of the sites now as well because I had a huge winning streak, lost 4k recently + 1000€ in the Jammin competition on Leo and thought I will make a cut again before I lose all my profits back to the casinos. Because of the deposit-bonuses most of the times I see streamers win and this is always a thing which makes you want to win as well. Even Kim should be up massivly this year

It's absolutely the right decision. I hope everything goes well in the future. Moving away from gambling can sometimes be really hard. But if u ever feel the urge to talk to someone, feel free to hit me up.

For me streamers make me also realize they can loose 100k easily in a high-roll session.

And watching them makes me play less and I also have realized that I enjoy it as much playing on E 0,10 or E 0,20 stake.

But good decision and good to share it.

I personally love how Classy Beef always remind their viewers frequently that gambling costs money, something I don't see other streamers do as frequently and visible as they do.
