Hey Ya'll!

I would like to hear about casino regulations (land based and online)/rules and practices in Your country!? What's your goverment regulations, are land based casinos allowed and so on..? As most of Us is from Europe I'm amazed that EU have not made an regulatory department yet and every country has to fight for their players alone.

I'm gonna start it off:

I'm estonian/finnish living in Finland and the two countries are oh so different :

Estonia : Estonia controls the casinos by taxing ( owns all loto and taxes all land based and online casinos). Almost 10 years ago all casinos that did not apply for Estonian online casino licence (applying came with like a 100k € base fee that did not quarantee licence) got blocked. Land based casinos pay a table/slot fee for every unit, not sure if there is  a turnover or profit tax.

Finland: Finland is the biggest casino in Finland. There are many slot machines in supermarkets, bars, small corner stores and so on. Only one land based casino in capital on normal casino meaning with tables and jackpot slots. Almost all casinos are allowed/got permit for Finland (not sure cause there's casinos that are not available in Finland). Not sure about the ads as my mother tongue is not finnish and I only consume radio ads.

Not gonna lie, I hate how EU controls our lives with regulations with stupid bans and rules but I still think we need a united gambling commision to control all gambling.

So tell me a little about your country?

UK who have been somewhat draconian in their approach which I don't have a problem with as gambling is a vice.

Do I agree with it all nope but it's better than doing nothing.
