Leovegas verification by email

Hi all, I've recently been though verification at Leovegas, it was dealt with quick and efficiently and I now have my account back (good job Leo). However I was very surprised that I was instructed to send documents containing personal information by e-mail. For me and probably over 95% of people this won't be a problem as we all use a secure email server nowadays, but when I pointed out to the customer service agent that it's really not a good idea that you ask customers to send these kinda things over e-mail, I was just told oh it's fine, we process 100's of documents a day by email and our servers are secure.

Now i'm sure Leo have spent time and effort getting things at their end to be nice and secure, but the problem is, even in this day and age, e-mail can still be transmitted from the users end unencrypted. So everything up to the email arriving at Leo's SMTP server could potentially be insecure.

I suggested to the customer service agent that Leo should have a secure file upload service, similar to ones I've submitted documents to at other casino's before and they shouldn't be potentially opening up customers to identity fraud but got the impression it wasn't really noted or taken seriously so I am writing this now.

And if anyone at Leovegas still isn't sure about this, i've taken this from google's own website.  https://support.google.com/transparencyreport/answer/7381230?hl=en

Encryption in transit helps protect your emails from being snooped on while they travel between you and your intended recipients. Unfortunately, billions of unencrypted emails are sent and received every day “in the clear,” presenting a prime target for eavesdropping and mass interception as they cross dozens of optical fibers and routers.
