Maybe they consider the possibility of hitting 5 different full screen wilds in the bonus a "possible 5000x" but honestly idk, the fact that the bonus pays dirt and if you get 9 scatters or more and it doesn't pay you and just instantly throws you into the bonus is what made me not want to play it anymore.
