OBS + Windows 10 = black screen when I try to capture window :(

Hello,

Maybe someone can help me. Recently I updated my OS to Window 10 and I'm having an issue with OBS (I have the latest version). Every time when I try to capture Chrome window - I get just black screen. I think I tried all possible ways to fix it, and the only one worked: disable hardware acceleration in browser. But if I disable it - slots just stop working.

If anyone experienced the same problem and was able to resolve it - please, let me know!

Thanks!

Hey!

I assume you're not using 2 monitors am I correct?

Chrome does NOT work with OBS if you have HW accel turned on (single monitor setup).

Instead, use Firefox or get yourself a 2nd monitor and then Display Capture, which will capture your whole desktop on 2nd screen including Chrome :)

Hey @Skylined87

I'm using to displays, but with hardware acceleration ON - Play N Go slots just don't load, asking me to turn it back :)

I think I will just follow your advice and start using Firefox instead of chrome :)

Cheers!

Ok so if you have 2 monitor setup, go to your OBS and change to Display Capture instead of Window Capture, and capture the monitor you're playing slots at with HW on.

I think that's your "issue" :)

Yes, Display Capture works just fine, but If I want to play two slot games at the same time, I can't do it, I need Window Capture to show viewers two different slots (capturing two different tabs).

Thanks anyway, Firefox did the magic :)
