ryan1298 Posted 18 October, 2022 Share Posted 18 October, 2022 Hey all! I'm off to Vegas for the first time next week and just wanted some advice/tips for the time over there, we've basically got 5 days, one of which will be at a festival, two days of exploring the strip (non gambling) Any help with casino etiquette, good casinos? Casinos to avoid, must do trips outside of casinos that kind of stuff. We'll only really be playing low stakes. Will have about $1000 to gamble away to give you an idea of stakes. Oh and somewhere decent for some low stakes $1/$2 blinds or such. Much appreciated! Ryan Quote Link to comment
Lotinis Posted 18 October, 2022 Share Posted 18 October, 2022 Hi Ryan1298 ! My advice would be to go see some of the videos on YouTube with Tangerine Travels / JacobsLifeInVegas / Up Up & Our Way. There is lots of videos with these 3 streeamers that gives tips and ideas on what to do, see and visit when going to vegas .. they will also reccomend some eating places based on high end and low end economy. They also come with recommendations on what NOT to do and MUST do .. like having a bunch of smaller dollar bills ready for tipping, high roller gambling, low roller gambling, hotel tips, safety, scams etc etc .. Anyway.. have a great trip and stay safe 😉 1 Quote Link to comment
dagreenblazer Posted 19 October, 2022 Share Posted 19 October, 2022 (edited) Yo dude, it was a quite a few years ago now that my mum & sister went to Vegas (they've got zero interest in gambling yet went anyway lol) but they went absolutely mental over the outlet shopping in a town called Laughlin, which was apparently close by. If you're going with anyone who loves cheap clothes & shoes shopping, it could be worth checking it still exists and has got all the outlets open, as my mum & sis did get some incredible bargains. Enjoy the trip anyway dude & hope you win Massive! Edited 19 October, 2022 by dagreenblazer Quote Link to comment
WolverineWisdom Posted 20 October, 2022 Share Posted 20 October, 2022 Great advice Lotinos. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes when exploring the strip: you end up doing ALOT of walking, and things look closer then they actually are. Quote Link to comment
