I haven’t used this casino since then but I believe I have a claim to get my money back under there license agreement which I think they have broken! what do you guys think? Link to comment
JollyBhoyJohn7 Posted 5 March, 2021 Share Posted 5 March, 2021 Why would you be depositing 43k in 40 minutes with a new account? Link to comment

I just did mate as I won £100,000 in a landbase casino that month. It just seems very odd why I was allowed to deposit that much without verification Link to comment

I registered my account on the 5th March 2020 I was then allowed to deposit £43,000 in total over a time period off 30 minutes roughly without any verification process done. I was asking whether I could put a complaint in to get my money back from Ladbrokes casino that’s all? If I would have won money they would have asked for the verification procedure when I put a withdrawal in before I got any money from them. I just feel like they have broken the rules. Is that responsible behaviour from Ladbrokes to allow me to do that? Surely they should have blocked my deposits after the first one? Link to comment

I don't know, I have read many player complaints but I do not recall a similar case. You might have a case since not too long ago credit card deposits for UK gamblers have been ruled out by UKGC regulations. There are some other forums with more knowledgeable people about cases like these, (casinomeister, thepogg) but I am paging Casinogrounds best forum member for cases like these.@dirtystack any thoughts on this one? For the complaints route: https://help.ladbrokes.com/en/general-information/account/general/getitright?search=ADR (sort it out with Ladbrokes customer support, escalate to their ADR, which is IBAS) Link to comment

RichXTuta Posted 5 March, 2021 Share Posted 5 March, 2021 Where were they in the wrong? You're an adult making your own decisions and you deposited a lot and you're wondering if you can get it back... well, why? Would you have been saying that if you won? Link to comment

Sadly thats completely irrelevant if I won or not. The issue I have is that Ladbrokes casinos let me deposit £43,000 without any verification source of wealth etc is that responsible? Is that a breach of there license agreement? Maybe! you cannot allow a customer to deposit that amount off money it’s irresponsible Link to comment
JollyBhoyJohn7 Posted 5 March, 2021 Share Posted 5 March, 2021 So if you had won 250k from your deposits would you then be happy if they cancelled the withdrawals and refunded your deposits? Link to comment

That’s not what I am saying at all. But do you think it’s responsible for an online casino to let me deposit that amount of money without verification process completed? It’s not about the money it’s about the correct procedures which clearly aren’t in place at Ladbrokes Link to comment

Why pump that kind of money in mate in that time frame, that was your call, your the one hit deposit so I dont see the problem, u lost unfortunately Link to comment
Tim.Youth Posted 5 March, 2021 Share Posted 5 March, 2021 I agree with you that verification should be at the very beginning and even before a deposit, but this applies across the board and not just for Ladbrokes. Am I assuming you've blown the lot and now want the cash back, claiming it was 'irresponsible' from the Casino? As another user said, you wouldnt be kicking up any fuss at all if you'd won. I suggest keeping whatever money you have left, if any, and excluding yourself since you clearly have a few issues, mate. Link to comment
nelisxxx Posted 5 March, 2021 Share Posted 5 March, 2021 Even if you would have made a profit, they probably gonne ask for source of wealth and that can takes ages, or they don’t approve any document. Link to comment
dublinjay Posted 5 March, 2021 Share Posted 5 March, 2021 I usually say take responsibility for your own actions but this is too much , the average salary in UK is around £35k per year . £43, 000 deposits in 30 mins during midnight looks like one hell of a drunk session, I wonder how the bank didn't block your transaction . Not a expert of UKGC regulations so can't advice but give it a try Go through the link which was provided by @vanHooff Link to comment

Andrew Stothard Posted 5 March, 2021 Author Share Posted 5 March, 2021 I was looking through my bank statements from last year and checking the amounts with the online casinos I played at. I just couldn’t believe that I was allowed to deposit 4 times to the amount off £43,000 I just think it’s completely irresponsible from Ladbrokes whether I would get my money back or not I believe they should be fined for this regardless. there is no way on earth you could deposit this amount in a land base casino without many check first and most online casinos it’s around £2,000 deposits then they will block you account till source of funds is completed Link to comment

Hoops9 Posted 5 March, 2021 Share Posted 5 March, 2021 I wish you the best of luck but I dont think you will get the money back.. you could report them to the gambling commission and they will recieve a fine potentially... but still unlikely you will get a refund. But good luck and keep us updated Take care Much love #ReelDosser Link to comment
