I think @Nick, @LetsGiveItASpin or @Skylined87 are best suited to answer this or check up on it and find the answer. So about 5 years ago I self excluded from Betsafe, a site operating under the Betsson umbrella. When I went through with the self exclusion I was told I would be unable to play at any BML group casino. Earlier this year Betsson took over Rizk, a casino I still play frequently at. Now I'm wondering if in a scenario like this, should self exclusions from the past carry on to new casinos opened under the Betsson umbrella? Should the exclusion carry on and stop me from playing at Rizk too? For information, nothing has happened. I'm still playing at Rizk. I just don't know if I really should be able to, according to licensing agreements and company policies. What do you think?

From my understanding Rizk still operates on different license for the time being - Rizk is operated by Zecure Gaming Limited. Betsson is operated under BML Group Ltd. So whatever self-exclusion you had on Betsson brands will not apply to Rizk. If you want to further pursue this, I advise you contact Rizk live support.

I contacted the support about it, and a few days later they've apparently closed my account. I tried to login and it said I was self excluded. Support said they're investigating and will get back to me. Although it's a different license, I think Betsson will choose to keep my account closed and pay back any deposit made since they took over Rizk. That's what I expect, but we'll see. Will update once I hear from them again.

They do do cross license exclusions, I closed my GUTS account a few years ago, and when Betsson took them over, they closed all my Betsson accounts. This is what they told me back in May (I wasn't actually self excluded and got them reopened after a bit of email tennis) Having checked your query, I would like to clarify that upon Betsson's acquisition of casinos such as Guts, any active self exclusions on those accounts have been applied to any accounts you hold within our network. Furthermore, although you are able to register accounts, we will not be able to accept bets or deposits.

Did they ever pay back your deposits, and if they did, starting from what time? I am in believe, that the acquisition happened in 14th of February this year, and my deposits after that should be returned. Any thoughts?

As Colin mentioned earlier, and what I was told by betsson support, is that they apply self exclusions to all your accounts in betsson group, even with different licences. They already closed my accounts, and have paid some of my deposits back. The problem is that I dont get any answer from betsson about the exact day they start paying from. I had also deposit made in late February (after the bettson acquisition of GiG casinos), which they havent paid yet.

At the same day Guts sent me email about paying my deposits, and so they did. But they did not pay all of them and only from one casino. I had deposits made in two of their casinos. So mga is now investigating my case, and they give max 30 days until solution. I recommend that you contact mga, but you need to provide some documents for them, like document where you self exclude yourself. Asle Martinsen Posted 6 January, 2021 Author Posted 6 January, 2021 I got my money paid out within 1-2 weeks I think. All deposits I'd made on Rizk since the acquisition on Feb 14th were returned. I didn't need to get MGA involved either, the support took care of it all promptly. Betsson's policy is that any self exclusion from a casino under their umbrella should automatically self exclude you from all their casinos. Should you have passed through, they will return your money. Atleast that's what they told me.
