Rogue casino advice - Gamstop user

Evening

This message is not intended to promote misuse of facilities provided to protect problem gamblers so I am going to try and be as vague as possible. I am an active Gamstop user, I went through a very, very rough patch early this year where a member of my family died and I got drunk and ended up circumventing the controls I had put in place (Not advised...actually very stupid).

In short I took a stumble back into my problem and a stroll on the dark side of gambling. Without naming sites their are ALOT of sites which are not part of Gamstop as they are not UKGC compliant but you will be misled into believing that you have a choice to deposit with them and you will receive money back, to the unwise or desperate this can be the key to making a very big mistake. They are fairly easy to find and then not long after they start finding you with spam texts and emails to lure you onto different brands or affiliated sites.

I say this on the forum as I was naive and hit a bump in the road which we all do from time to time. The Gamstop programme was their to protect me, it did and still does and I don't blame the system as I went out of my way to circumvent it...but please DON'T. If your on the programme your on it for a reason, sites that I have been on will message me many times a day just to chase my business. I know if I put money in I will never see it again as its a ploy with dodgy pirated software on many sites but its a lesson I learnt the hard way but with this post hopefully it can help someone else.

If you can sign up to it whilst on GAMSTOP...its a scam, it won't have a license or it won't care about you.

Be careful out their especially if you have a problem
