olempiaps Posted 26 May, 2019 Share Posted 26 May, 2019 Hello everyone, Over the past months i have struggled with gambling addiction. I have deposited money i could not afford to lose several times over and over again, and if i managed to get a huge win back i would keep playing and lose it all back anyways just reversing my withdrawals. It has gone so far that i am very far behind on bills, social life and in debt. I feel lost and angry. Mostly at myself. I’m 23, with a dead end job no degree and in shame of my debt and gambling addiction. Every time i did the same thing mainly depositing everything i had until my bank account was at 0kr left, i somehow sometimes managed to get lucky and win it all back and some more, but lost it the next day back. I have told myself i will quit many times, even had tips from several CG streamers and i appreciate the talk like Self excluding myself, but there is always another casino to Sign up on. Today i hit rock bottom though. I lost 40k NOK which is my whole salary deposited on various sites and was so lucky to on my last bullet win back 80k NOK. I put it in withdrawal with kaboo casino and was verified from before so it should have went painless. Sadly that was not the case, they asked for the same documents 4 times over and went silent not verifiying me, and to no avail there was no option to take a break only self exclude. So i hit the slots again and lost it all back. At the end of it all ITS my own faulth. I need to take responsbility for my actions and speak out to the community. Only then i might be able to get some help. right now i’m lost in my own mind, how did it get so far. I hope you all please take a lesson from my addiction and don’t use gambling as a way of money making. Even if just for entertainment, have a budget. Take care, Daniel Link to comment
geggs1 Posted 26 May, 2019 Share Posted 26 May, 2019 Kaboo did the same think to me. Dragged my withdrawal on and on for weeks. It’s was a terrible experience so I self excluded those cockroaches. I’d advice everyone to leave that casino for dust. It’s tough enough being an addicted gambler, but these kind of parasites pray on vulnerable players. I’d advice people with gambling problems to set limits on deposits. For example, I can deposit $150 in 24h period and a total of $450 per month. Also max bet of 0.40...... Link to comment
SuperSmask Posted 27 May, 2019 Share Posted 27 May, 2019 Thx for sharing @olempiaps . Im glad to see you have come to terms with having a gambling problem. First step in the right direction. In your case the Swedish "Spelpaus" would have been awesome, when you hit big on Kaboo. Hope Norway will implement a similar service, as I really feel this is BY FAR the best, Spelinspektionen has done in Sweden. Hoping for the best @olempiaps in the future for you. See you in my stream as well, and if you feel like it helps chatting or lurking feel free to do so. If you get the urge play when watching streams, i would advice you to just close down twitch and youtube till you have it under control. Much Love Mario Link to comment

dirtystack Posted 27 May, 2019 Share Posted 27 May, 2019 Have to be conscious of how it ultimately makes you feel, how it weakens you. Be honest with yourself and accepting of your weakness. Then you can make a plan to steer you away from gambling. My friend had to do the same thing with Columbia, hated himself when he was in Columbia. Hasn't been to Columbia for a long time now, his friends still go there quite often, and he still feels it call out to him. he'll just be minding his own business and his brain, in all its finite wisdom, will suggest, "hey man, lets go to Columbia and do this and this and this, it will feel fucking good." Presenting him with a detailed plan involving images and sensations of the good time proposed. At the moment his response is "hey yeah, that's a good idea, lets do it" Then, from another direction he will hear "don't be silly, you know you don't enjoy going to Columbia, you will just regret having gone, You will feel shamed" If you can be aware of the thoughts that lead you to gamble, identify and observe them, then you can manage them. If you can identify compulsion then it becomes less compulsive, you will see these thoughts as coming from a silly and insistent source intent on diminishing you. Link to comment
Dbaird123 Posted 27 May, 2019 Share Posted 27 May, 2019 Would you be posting this if you had your withdrawal completed? Would you have an addiction problem if you won mega huge? Is it only cos you reversed you're withdrawal and lost it that you are now seeking something from the forum? If you have a gambling problem and know it don't just use gambling ban sites remove your self from casino grounds and other such sites your a member off, using gamban is only part 1, staying on gambling forums is a big no no as well as it teases you into thinking you can win again. And my friend unless your getting affiliate or sponsor money then in the long run you will loose everything. Harsh but true. Link to comment
nevslots Posted 27 May, 2019 Share Posted 27 May, 2019 Good to hear that you can admit to yourself and others that it's a problem , worst think you can do is buiry your head in the sand and pretend it doesn't exist . I hope you manage to resolve your issues and I'm sure everyone here will be behind you and support you to achieve your goals . Link to comment

It doesn’t matter if i cashed out or not. Because i would have lost that sooner or later anyways by re depositing down the line. Thats the issue that i have to face. This isn’t a complain post, it’s more me putting the addiction into reality by writing it and making myself feel more responsible for my reckless actions as i was advised to by a former gambler. See it’s one thing if i let myself down and deposit again next Month when i get my salary. It’s a different thing if i deposit and let not only myself down, but my family, you guys the when i have promised my word as a man. That’s what i’m trying to do. 11 hours ago, SuperSmask said: Thx for sharing @olempiaps . Im glad to see you have come to terms with having a gambling problem. First step in the right direction. allreven Posted 29 May, 2019 Share Posted 29 May, 2019 @olempiaps I have same problem, keep depositing untill my account is zero and when winning i just wanna win more, reverses cashouts and when i do cashout, i just play them away when i get them. What has worked for me is a mix of, selfexluding everywhere, deposit limits, and, when i get my salary i pay my bills and the money i have left, i give to my brother, who knows of my problem, and he gives me money when i need. And staying away from casinoes. Especially those last two, helps me a lot. I still play, cause i rly love it, but i like to eat aswell. Link to comment

I will also be self excluding myself everywhere and take some months off totally. And if i do ever decide to play in the future it will be in 1/2 casinos Max with deposit limits. But, for now i’m removing the gambling hobby totally from my life. I also have my mom by my side now who will take care of my salary each Month and give me weekly money just to survive feels like a low blow at the age of 23 , but ITS neccesary. are you Norwegian buddy? If so maybe we could get in touch. Link to comment
RespG40 Posted 29 May, 2019 Share Posted 29 May, 2019 Yeah, share this issue as well. Horrible stuff. Even winning big means nothing as its likely you will just fritter it all away. Best thing is just to exclude yourself from everywhere and not think about it. Not even come on here actually as it can potentially put you off track. I use one casino, £100 a month limit. Excluded from every other one in the UK. Its the only way I can still gamble for fun without losing a fortune. Probably shouldn't even be doing that! Link to comment

As a little bit older than you, i cannot give you advice.. you know why? You are a man now. Let me tell you something. You propably have a loving mother who loves you and a loving family. Imagine this, would you like this addiction to stop your life? Never get married, have kids, never be loved or love? Of course not. Since you are a man now, stop it, save money (checking your account and seeing it full, really makes you proud!) and FALL IN LOVE!! In the end those things are just machines and alogrithms, they dont have power over you. YOU GOT BALLS! FALL IN LOVE GO HIKING GO TO BRUNCHES WITH HER, SPEND TIME WITH YOUR LOVING FAMILY AND HAVE FUNNNNNNNN!!!!!One advice, slots dont have expiration date, but your closest people have, your life has, SO ENJOY IT AS MUCH AS YOU CAN!!!
