Why do Streamers "ask chat for picks"?

Please explain. Just to include viewers and make it more social?

Example is when Kim (and many others) play Spinal Tap. Users on Twitch/Youtube get to choose.
This is basically just a waste of time cause it's already pre-decided anyway what you will win.

I just got World Tour bonus and I could see in the cashier on Partypoker what the win was going to be even before I got into the World Tour itself.
So why make the streams longer for nothing? Just pick and move on?

Is it just me or why delay everything for show?
Only reason I could assume is to have more uptime, get potentially more viewers to your stream and also the viewers feel they "have a say".

Still, just a waste of time, or am I wrong? ?

There are some software providers which are not pre-determined but when a streamer asks the audience to pick its because they want them to feel involved. This makes the stream more fun imo.

I actually believe that it is predetermined, but not in the way that you think.

For example (its just speculation, correct me if I'm wrong, but it makes most sense to me that it is somewhat like this), in secret of the stones,

when you trigger the bonus, the game already knows that if you pick example stone 1, 4 , 8, the total pay will be XX,XX€

if you pick the stone 2 7 and 11 the total pay will be YY,YY €

And there are way too many combinations for me to write them out, but I think the game makes a list of all possible combinations and gives them each a "payout", and then depending on what you pick, you will get that payout.

also because Chat is ALWAYS right ;)
