Further, that as far as I know, the Opta definition of an assist is:
Goal Assist
The final touch (pass, pass-come-shot or any other touch) leading to the recipient of the ball scoring a goal.
If the final touch (as defined in bold) is deflected by an opposition player, the initiator is only given an assist if the receiving player was the likely intended destination of the touch.
If a shot on goal is blocked by an opposition player, is saved by a goalkeeper or hits the woodwork, and a goal is scored directly from the rebound, then an assist is awarded.So if the bet has been settled according to Opta provided data, you disagree with the data.
I would send along the link to the Youtube clip of the goal for kicks.
Probably a lost cause but you never know.
Sportsbooks have been known for paying out losing bets for publicity reasons or because of leniency in similar cases.Thanks for responding, appreciated! Luckily they fixed it and I received the money.

Hey all,
Just wanted to share some nice betting wins today. I lost a lot last few weeks, but this is a really nice comeback, especially the last bet! 🤑
Been a tough couple weeks recently with the losses, but this has basically put me in profit for this year.
